For the celebration of the 90th years anniversary of the Martinez Hotel in Cannes, I am glad to share with you my memorable experience at this iconic property of the French Riviera!

90 years of legacy, refreshed for the Instagram era
Cannes legendary Martinez hotel has been welcoming famous and incognito travelers for more than 90 years, making it one of the most iconic hotels in the South of France.
Last spring, its interior has been completely renovated by the famed designer Pierre Yves Rochon in a refine and modern Art-Deco style. You will enjoy the universe of luxury yachting in very contemporary lines and very light colors, reflecting shades visible on the beautiful Mediterranean.
The Luxury Hotels “connaisseurs” have been eagerly awaiting this reopening and so do I!
This refurbishment is a complete success!
The magic happens from the very beginning when you enter the bright high selling lobby featuring this impressive retro chandelier. Just below, the large graphic staircase, where so many stars paraded and posed.
As soon as I crossed the glass doors, I have been escorted to the reception by the friendly bellman team and got a highly personalized seated check-in upon arrival which truly made me feel at home and at ease from the beginning and was muchly appreciated.
I had a booking for a Deluxe room, but I had the delighting privilege to get a complimentary upgrade to a luxurious Junior Suite room with an elegant “petit” balcony offering a humble but pleasant view over the blue Mediterranean Sea.
The elegant design work immerses you in the chic and luxurious universe of contemporary yachting on the French Riviera.
The quality of sleep was beyond expectations in this large king size bed and timeless bath were more than enjoyable in this loft style bathtub.
The rooms to book ?
– Room 224 for its central location and its 180 ° panoramic view;
– Suites 418 and 420, 428 and 431 if your budget allows;
– The Junior Suite with Terrace (n ° 11) on the top floor, with a private terrace, and overlooking a quiet street. Nice perspective on Cannes and partial sea view.
Spa and Wellness
On the top floor of the hotel, the Geneva brand spa L.RAPHAEL offers a range of cutting-edge facials, has ten cabins, and adjoins a pleasant gym.
Food and drinks
As for the catering offer, the hotel has 5 outlets where you can feast and refresh with a delicious cocktail or glass of wine, the choice is yours!
Le Jardin du Martinez was one of my favorite. I absolutely adored spending time in this private garden where I could enjoy the lively melody of a fun and jazzy live band while sipping a glass of Champagne or a delicious Signature cocktail from the Bar. The menu offers a tasteful and delicious cuisine with Provence’s savors.
La Palme d´Or, this gastronomic restaurant is the only double Michelin-starred in the city. Famed Chef Christian Sinicropi celebrates fresh and locally sourced products through a seasonal refine menu.
The Martinez Beach, placed on the sand, facing the Big Blue and the Lérins Islands. This privileged restaurant constitutes the ideal setting to forget the tumult of the Croisette and appreciate fresh grilled fish, sun-baked vegetables and smashed rosé wine.
Very lively during the weekend, the pontoon turns into an openair dance floor.

A luxury hotel that cares for you
With the importance of the actual global environmental and ethical crisis, every single action has a significant impact.
First hotel in Cannes to receive the “Green Globe Gold” certification for sustainable hospitality, the hotel Martinez Cannes is mindful of these issues and has implemented many solutions and actions to contribute to a more responsible travel.
Thanks to its implication with the non-profit organization ”Sourire et Partage” the hotel was able to collect and donate more than € 12,000 to provide moral and material support to seriously ill children and their families.
The hotel has been a partner of this local association for 3 years: donations of lunch invitations for families, volunteer hours to visit sick children at the hospital, climbing the steps during the Cannes Film Festival, operation ” solidarity dish” at the beach restaurant to raise funds…
The iconic Martinez Hotel is definitely a symbol of Cannes’ Roaring Twenties and will remain one of my best French hotel luxury memory this year.
