Covid-19 had and is still affecting our lives in a way or another. Almost every countries have declared the Emergency State and we still don’t know for sure when we will able to breathe the outside air again.
Whether you are staying at home, in a hotel or maybe a remote island, you are probably thinking about how to take advantage of this time to become a better version of yourself.
Wondering what you can do to stay busy during this period of quarantine ?
We have decided to share with you our 7 tips to stimulate your mind and body, and feel like you are traveling the world.
TIP #1 : EXERCISE
Well-being reminder: to stay healthy and keep a fresh mind, there is nothing better than exercising regularly! Being stuck at home shouldn’t (and is not!) an excuse to skip your daily practice. You will feel better, sorry, way better in your body and mainly in your mind!
We have the chance to live in the twenty-first century, so make it an advantage and stay connected. Play a video on youtube, or download an application on your phone that will allow you to have your own personal e-coach, and start sweating !
If the cozy feeling of staying in bed is keeping you from it, plan a daily session with your friends through a video call to push yourselves.

TIP #2 : EXPLORE YOUR KITCHEN
Look for inspirations and recipes in your kitchen books, grandmother’s recipes, Internet ormobile applications. No excuses! There are so many options just out there, so explore them.
You don’t have to do that alone ! You can use an application to help you better understand how to balance your meals and calculate your calories intake. We recently started to use FOODVISOR app for that and the results we have are great.
You will see the difference within a few days: your skin will be smoother, your hair brighter and your body firmer.
We started this quarantine eating chocolates and cakes every hour, by boredom mainly. This is why we have decided to get a hold of ourselves and we started looking how to control our daily intake.
Nowadays, there are so many options to explore new flavors, fusions and ingredientsthat are easily reachable. If you are a travel lover like us, you could also start cooking your favorite meal from one of your past travel abroad. A few of our international favorite meals are: Dumplings, Phad Thai, Saag Panir, Fish Ceviche.
We have so much free time, so take advantage of it and start cooking delicious, healthy and tasteful dishes!
Share your creations with your beloved ones, compliments are always enjoyable !
TIP #3 : LEARN NEW SKILLS
Practice a new language, perform basic dance moves, improve your photography skills, learn how to use photo editing softwares… Anything to keep your brain active !
Some of us are working from home, others are unemployed. Either way, it is the good time for you to acquire this particular new skill you have always dreamed of and that you’ve always postponed for lack of time.
Use DUOLINGUO to brush your Spanish, impress your friends by concocting delicious cocktails with TYPSY… There are so many great apps and blogs to help you out there! Just figure out which one(s) works the best for you and make yourself proud!
TIP #4: SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Waking up early, being stuck in the traffic jam, going to work, exercising, grocery shopping, cooking… The « before quarantine » daily routine was exhausting to such an extent, that we forgot the most essential thing in life, spending quality time with our loved ones.
All this free time is the opportunity for you to reconnect with this friend you didn’t call for months or this aunt you haven’t seen for years.
Therefore, share your happiness, your doubts, your hopes and plans for future. Besides regular conversations, you also can enjoy moments together. Switch your video-call on, and cook a new recipe together, dance on your favorite songs or meet for a daily yoga session…
And this in the due respect of social distancing. 😉

TIP #5: WATCH TRAVEL RELATED MOVIES AND DOCUMENTARIES
There’s no better time to sign up for online streaming services such as Netflix or Amazon prime. Allow your mind to travel across (quarantine) borders. Here is a list of our favorites movies and documentaries, ordered by themes:
Travel
Into the wild : An adventurous, but sorry to say, tragic movie, based on a real-life novel directed by Sean Penn. The moving story of a young guy leaving all his materialistic comfort to start a new life in the depth of the wilderness.
Seven years in Tibet : Starring Brad Pitt as an Austrian climber who travels to the holy city of Lhassa and becomes a close confident of the Dalaï Lama. This touching movie is our « coup de coeur », and also exists as a documentary.
Jack Whitehall : Travel with my father. A refreshing TV show highlighting a controversial relationship between a conservative father and his adventurous son who decide to travel the world in the hope to reinforce their fussy relationship.
Cuisine
Salt Fat Acid Heat ; Samin Nosrat, cook and author, is traveling the world kitchens to demonstrate how the 4 elements deliciously fusion in the rich worldwide cuisine.

TIP #6: PLAN YOUR NEXT TRAVEL
Quarantine can be very hard for travel lovers… Like it is for us !
Our advice : allow your spirit to unwind, watch documentaries, read ; anything is good to discover and dream about new places.
We will probably have to wait a few more months before the countries open their borders to international travelers again.So, let’s boost the national tourism! We are sure that the country you live in has so many marvelous places to discover.
Get informed, start planning and soon, it will be time to explore.
In the meantime, nothing stops you from planning an exotic trip in one of your dream destination. (And why not dreaming of a luxury yacht experience ?) You have plenty of time to do all the researches needed, which leads us to our next tip.
TIP #7: THINK ABOUT HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR TRAVEL HABITS
This pandemic crisis is with no doubts, impacting the way we live and the way we think. More than ever, this whole situation makes us realize the importance for usto reduce our impact on the environment.
Worldwide, a global reduction of CO2 emissions is already noticeable, mainly because human flows have drastically lowered, nature is taking its rights back !
